Why This Matters: Stories from the Field
Pastor Vinod from India, who trains thousands of house church leaders, expressed a heartfelt need: “For our majority world countries, we need affordable, accessible training to benefit the churches and God’s Kingdom.” Similarly, Pastor Santosh in Nepal, who is raising up leaders in all seven provinces, sees how impactful this kind of education can be, saying, “This training is a great resource. Let us do this for Nepal!”
These testimonies highlight the unique opportunity we have to support students who are not just learning for themselves but are preparing to teach and equip others. With a PhD education focused on the relationship between Christology, missiology, and ecclesiology, they will be ready to serve the church and train leaders where theological resources are scarce, yet the hunger for spiritual growth is immense.
Our Goal: Fully Fund Nine Scholarships by Raising $25,000
Our annual goal is to raise $25,000 to provide full scholarships for nine PhD students from the majority world where support is most needed. This funding will cover tuition costs for students like:
- Two from Malawi and Tanzania—who will each receive $1,440 in scholarships.
- Two from Kenya—where $5,760 will help fund their education.
- Two from Nepal and three from India—receiving a total of $14,400 in support to equip them to effectively teach.
Each of these students is preparing to serve their communities, lead seminaries, and raise up others as pastors, church planters, and movement leaders. The scholarship fund will help them fully engage in their studies, without a financial strain so they can focus on their mission of multiplying disciples.
