The Anatomy of a Movement

Ephesiology has led us through what I’ve called the anatomy of a movement: launching, grounding, leading, multiplying, and sustaining. These are not methods or strategies. I hate to even call them principles although that might be the best word. These five aspects of the New Testament movement certainly provide a framework from where we might evaluate our ministries and even consider where we are strong and were we might need strengthening. Overall, through the development of the movement in Ephesus, there was a rhythm that led to exponential growth and maturity as leaders empowered Christ-followers on His mission and healthy communities of believers gathered to listen to the Holy Spirit.
