A collection of essays on Christianity and politics from Ephesiology

In a day of political and social tensions in majority Christian countries, an attempt to formulate a genuinely biblical response only increases division. Lines have clearly been drawn and now people on all sides of the political spectrum are hard pressed not to cross them in spite of reasonable arguments. It has come to a point where even a reasoned biblical response meets with a loyalty to a political system that holds no concern for personal moral compromise. Nowhere in the world has this been seen better than in the United States over the past 40 years. But that is the nature of the human mind. We have the keen ability to hold competing beliefs in a uniquely Western Christian dualism that threatens the soul of those thinking they follow Christ.

This series of essays attempts to demonstrate that the marriage between politics and faith often distracts Christians from God’s mission in the world. That mission can be simply summarized as an apologetic for Christian faith, a determine efforts to stand in the gap for justice, and a continue proclamation of the gospel around the world.
